VIEWFINDER

Adam Dean, a freelance photographer based in Beijing, was recently awarded the prestigious POYi award for one of his images from Afghanistan. This year, he was named one of PDN's "new and emerging" photographers. Recently, he took his camera to Japan to capture haunting images of the crisis happening there. This month's New Yorker features some of his photos:
