OTHERWORLDLY

This morning I read an essay written by my 16-year-old cousin. Her joy for life coupled with an otherworldly understanding of loss, grief, and growth after death is nothing short of inspirational. As my family approaches the one year anniversary of a tragic death, I am reminded of lessons in impermanence and, thanks to this essay, am well advised to "find mystery and appreciate the beauty everywhere, however seemingly quotidian (that we can see the stars every night makes them no less brilliant)."
